Halloween Party #1

During fall break the kids had a fun little Halloween party to go to. They decorated sugar cookies, made Halloween pictures, drank witches brew, and gathered in a group for a scary story about a little boy who died. The kids had blind folds on and felt things like a cabbage for his head, carrot for a finger, spaghetti for veins, sponge for a brain, etc. They thought it was so much fun! It was a great way to start off the season for dressing up.

Study, Study, Study

Here are some pictures from the beginning of Fall Break. I spent a lot of time studying for a big final in my EED 537...Math class. Needless to say, the kids and I spent much time at the park, they played while I crammed as much as I could in my head while being distracted with two cute monsters. Seriously, all I wanted to do was play, but I had to balance the play with the books....it was very hard to do!

Mother Nature's Farm

We thought it would be fun to take the kids over to Mother Nature's Farm on Saturday afternoon. It was sooo cute. The kids were able to pet and feed animals, go through a maze, decorate pumpkins, get their faces painted, go for a hay ride, bounce in a bouncy house, and before we left we even decided to bring a new pet home. She is a little yellow chick named Ning Ning (Yes like the chick from Wonder Pets). She is super cute and the kids adore her. She even likes to be held. She chirps until someone holds her. Currently she is spending a lot of time in my room in her hamster cage until I am able to get her a light and put her in the garage. We must protect her from our cat and hopefully in the future I will be able to get some sleep. Inspite of the challenges with having a chick we are thrilled! Now we have got to figure out what we will do when she is too big for the hamster cage. Hummmmm.

Mars and Miles looked so cute before we headed off to church this morning!

Miles

Oh Miles is such a fun kid. Sometimes at night he gets so hungry before bedtime and I can't send him to bed hungry so he'll either eat cereal or sometimes his favorite food in the world...a corn dog. This night he ate himself to sleep.

Happy B-day to M and M!

We celebrate Marley and Miles's Birthday for at least nine days every year...starting on Miles's Birthday October 4th and ending on Marley's Birthday October 12th. We went to my moms house tonight to celebrate. After dinner and cake we walked over to the lake near my mom's house for a little night fishing. Brad grew up with 4 brothers and 1 sister so he gets his fill of girls when he comes to see my family. Brad is cute with all of them. It's great fun when we get together! We missed you Melanie and fam, Heather and fam, Misty who's on a mission, and Grandma Stott!
