2011-2012 School Year
It's hard to believe that I just finished my 5th year teaching. This year I worked with Ms. Hollie and Ms. Nancy. We had a wonderful school year. Each year brings new learning and growth. It is so rewarding to be able to be a guide in helping to enhance each child's love for learning. Although some days are long and some weekends go by too quickly, there isn't anything that I would rather do with my time than spend it teaching children.
Easter 2012
Some of our favorite things to do for Easter time are our neighborhood flashlight egg hunt, going to the Easter pageant, dyeing eggs, egg hunts, and watching the kids find their Easter baskets in crazy places around the house Easter morning. We had a fun Easter this year!
Baseball Spring 2012
Miles loves playing baseball! It is so fun for us all to attend all of the games together. Brad decided not to coach this year since both Mars and Miles would be playing because he didn't want to choose between the two teams. However he was asked to fill in for one of Miles's coaches for most of the season so he ended up coaching afterall....which is always fun for him to do. Miles had a great season!

We had a fun picnic at the park with my family when my Aunt Barb and her children Lily and Ben came for a visit. We missed seeing my Uncle Darrin. The kids had so much fun together. Ben is 8 and Lily is 5. We told Mars and Miles that they were adopted when they were babies from Korea. Marley told Lily that she wished that she could have been the one to adopt her. She was so sweet to her. We also had dinner at our house and invited them to our flashlight egg hunt.
Chopped
We like to watch cooking shows such as Cupcake Wars and Chopped. The kids love it when we have our own version of chopped at home. We give the kids 3 ingredients that they have to make something with and plate it within a certain period of time. On this occasion, we had a desert round using ice cream, bananas, and Andes mints. After tasting the delicious creations, Brad and I have such a hard time choosing the winner so we have the dogs take a lick and decide....as you might guess it is always a tie!

Asher's Birthday
We went to Tucson for the day to go to Asher's birthday party. We stopped at the zoo first. The Reid Zoo is amazing because all of the animals are so close. Our favorite animals to see were the lion cubs playing with their parents and the babyelephant with it's family. After the zoo we went to Pump it Up to celebrate Asher's special day. We had so much fun!
