Catalina Island

We decided last minute to get away for the weekend of Brad's birthday. We thought it would be fun to go camping on Catalina Island. We booked our trip the night before we headed out. We drove all night and then slept in the car for a few hours and boarded our ship at 7am. It was amazing to be camping right by the ocean. We went fishing, hiking, and snorkling. We decided to hike from Two Harbors to Little Harbor. It was a 10-11 mile hike begining at sea level and going up in the mountains and then ending at sea level. We hiked right by the coast so it was amazing to look out at the ocean as we hiked. We saw deer and buffalo. It was beautiful and so wonderful to spend time with my sweet Brad!

Happy Birthday to Bradley!

Gracie came over with a cookbook ready to help Marley bake a cake for Brad for his birthday. After looking at many recipes we then looked online for some decorating ideas. They made the cake together and then we went shopping for toppings to decorate it. We then had a BBQ steak dinner and went to play laser tag together. On the way we made guesses of who would be the laser tag champion and nobody guessed me, so it was funny that I won! Miles pointed out that it went from oldest to youngest. You could hear Mars and I scream every once in awhile when we'd get scared from a person popping out in front of us. It was a fun birthday celebration!

Asher

My sister's adorable son Asher stayed with us for a week while she and my other sister Julianne were in Switzerland. The kids had many fun days and nights together. They played Legos, played with neighborhood friends, we went to the movies to see Ice Age, rode on the Flow Rider, had a slumber party at Grammy Rayne's, baked cookies, played games, went swimming, and had many fun nights reading books, and sleeping or should I say chatting in Marley's bedroom together. We loved having Asher stay with us!

Just Dance!

Arizona Science Center

The Arizona Science Center is such an amazing place We have a family pass so it has been fun for us to go a few times this summer. Science is so fun to learn about!

Planting Flowers

Brad built us a fun garden box to plant things in. I like to plant herbs in it during the fall and spring. Marley enjoys planting flowers in it too. She and Gracie decided to plant a garden of flowers this summer.

Kitchen Picnic

We finally decided to paint our walls this summer. I have never been a fan of tan so after picking many samples we decided on some fun light colors to brighten up the house. While we were busy painting, the kids had a fun kitchen picnic together. It was fun to hear them sit and chat over lunch. They just talked and talked for an hour while eating together.
