Halloween

Today has been a very fun and eventful day! Marley decided to use either Lynsi, Shanna, Shelly, or Stacie's old dance/gymnastics outfit as her costume at school today and then she decided to be Ariel tonight while trick or treating. Miles stuck with Darth Vader. Halloween was a hit!

For KK

Miles was bringing in the trash can tonight and said "Mom take a picture of this for KK." So, KK this is for you.

TRUNK OR TREAT

We went to our ward trunk or treat tonight. My sister Alyssa came along with us, which was a lot of fun! The kids had a great time seeing friends, playing games, and getting candy!! Marley was set to be Silver Fairy and decided at the last minute to go with last years Halloween costume...it's fun to have a dress up stash...tomorrow for school as of now, it may be Ariel? Miles was really excited to see Darth Vader. When he saw him, he looked at me and said "Mom he really is big and real." He was more excited about him than the candy, so we had to get a picture. It was a fun night!

preHalloween

Today I took my class to an assisted living home to go trick or treating...it was so much fun!! I would post pictures...but I am not sure how parents would feel about it, so I'll post some pics of me and Romie. We decided to be super hereos... I absolutely love my job!

Carving Pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins and decorated sugar cookies for Family Night last night. We had such a great time! Marley carved her pumpkin all by herself with a little assistance on her mouth. Miles carved his mouth himself and had assistance with all the other facial features. FYI...knives are not considered dangerous in our house:) After carving the kids enjoyed dancing and lighting up their pumpkins. What a fun night!

Hiking!

I decided to take the kids for a hike on Superstition mountains a couple of weeks ago. The hike was 2.5 miles. The kids made it all the way to the top and loved it! When the hike was over Marley said that she wanted to get something to eat and do it again. Miles liked the name of the hike, Treasure Loop and was holding out to see some real pirate treasure at the top. Although the treasure we found, which was the beauty all around us, was a different treasure than he expected, Miles was still very pleased. The last picture is very humerous....horse poop. We saw a horse coming down the mountain and the first thing that Miles said was "Mom do you think we'll see some horse poop." Sure enough we found the poop and Miles wanted a picture with it....boys!
