MILES CAN SWING!!!

Brad has been working with Miles for months to learn how to pump his legs in order to swing by himself. When Miles doesn't know how to do something he gets really frustrated. We all have to be very patient through the process of helping Miles learn how to do new things. I was so excited that Miles could swing for the very first time by himself while we were in Flagstaff. He was so so very proud of himself and boy are Brad, Marley, and I proud of him too!:) Way to go Miles! We knew you could do it!

Fun Little Getaway!

My friend Sonia and I decided to take our kids on a little getaway to Flagstaff. We stopped at Out of Africa for the day on the way up, stayed the night at the Little America hotel, and then headed to Slide Rock for the next day before heading home. We had such a great time together!

Slide Rock

Slide Rock was amazing and so beautiful! I remember going as a child but I didn't remember the rocks being so slippery. Poor little Macie fell ten minutes after we arrived and hit her chin on the rock. Sonia had to leave to take her to the emergency room to get five stitches. I stayed behind with Marley, Miles, and Sadie. I had the kids crouch down low when they were on the rocks and gave them many friendly reminders in order to keep them safe. Marley and Miles enjoyed going down a natural water slide over and over again. They also enjoyed making new friends to play witches, liked jumping in swimming holes to swim in, and exploring on the rocks. Miles would climb and cimb and climb on the rocks. Marley would jump in the swimming hole and swim and swim and swim. Slide Rock was so much fun!

Out of Africa

We loved going to Out of Africa. The kids really enjoyed being so close to all of the animals. Marley was able to feed a giraffe with her mouth. Miles loved asking each bus driver if he could sit in the front seat next to them. They all said yes and one bus driver even let Miles talk on the microphone. He said, "Everyone, you need to know that the best computer game in the world is Club Penguin." I smile when I think of my sweet Miles. He is a one of a kind special little guy who keeps me laughing and on my toes! Marley enjoyed holding the big huge snake. Marley is such a sweetheart and is always very thoughtful to those around her. She brings me so much joy! They both enjoyed feeding the Tiger. A sweet little old lady came up to Miles and handed him a $5 bill and said that he reminded her of her grandson and wanted to give him some money to feed the tiger. She even stayed to watch him with her husband. It was really cute. We just had so much fun together with Sonia, Macie, and Sadie!

HApPy bIRtHdaY BrAdLeY!

Today is Brad's birthday. He is the BIG 31! We celebrated his first birthday party at my mom's house. I made him a football cake and then we headed to my mom's for a delicious dinner. After dinner we had such a fun time playing the candy bar game. We are excited to celebrate Brad's special day all week long! We all sure do love you Brad!

Night Swim

We love to go to our community pool for night swims! Miles enjoys racing me over and over again while we swim from one side of the pool to the other. He is very competitive!:) The kids love chicken fights, searching for dive sticks, playing do as I am doing with Brad, standing on top of Brad while he lays at the bottom of the pool, riding on Brad like a surf board, and being thrown up high in the air and landing in the water. We love our family night swims!

Rocket

Brad thought it would be fun to build a rocket with Miles to launch off. We have actaully gone out to launch it off at two different times. The first time we were able to launch it off 3 times and then Brad and Miles had to bring it home to take care of some minor repairs. This last time we invited my good friend Lindsey and her boys to come along. It is amazing how high the rocket shoots up in the sky!
