Halloween Night

We began trick or treating around 5:30 pm. The kids had full bags of candy within an hour so we had to go home and unload in order to go back out again. After we went trick or treating we went over to Grandma Rayne's and to Grammy and Papa's house to trick or treat and show them M and M with their Hallween costumes on. We ended the night with a Sonic run for Miles's favorite snack---corndogs. What a wonderful Halloween night!

Trunk or Treat

Miles won the best costume award at out ward trunk or treat. He was so excited/shocked when his named was called out to come up on the stage and get his trophy. In the pic of him with his trophy his mouth is stuffed with powdered donuts...one of his favorite treats. Marley loved going trunk or treating with her friend from primary, Nellie.

Assisted Living Home Fieldtrip

My class has taken two trips so far this year to an assisted living home in our area. The last visit was right before Halloween. The kids went trick or treating to the residents and then gathered together to sing Halloween songs with them. It is always such a fun experience for all of us.

We are currently learning Christmas songs to do a little performance there for our family Christmas party. We thought it would be neat for our students parents to come and see what their kids have been doing at school.

Ning Ning

The kids in my class loved having visits from Ning Ning. We learned about the parts of a bird in science a couple of weeks ago so she went right along with our topic of study. Ning Ning now has a new happy home with a loving family.

Next we will be learning about reptiles at school...hummm I wonder if...Not really. M and M's pet Gecko actually got away in our house a couple of months ago. Isabella, our fierce cat knocked his cage over and Jack escaped. So, I don't think we'll have another lizard any time soon.

Halloween FHE

We went over to Brad's families house for Family Night the Monday before Halloween. We ate dinner, had a Halloween fashion show, craved pumpkins, decorated cookies, etc. It was such a fun night!

Marley's Pinkies

Marley has had trouble with her pinkies lately. She got one slammed in the door and the next week slammed the other in the door. After that she had someone step on her finger at school so she came over to my classroom to tell me about it and to get a hug and an ice pack. They both bruised up, but luckily were not broken. She is a little nervous about opening doors so I open them for her. Poor little Mars Bars!

Open Gym

Marley and Miles take gymnastics classes at USA Gymnastics. We got a family pass for Marley and Miles to be able to go to Open Gym every Friday night. We go at least 2-3 times a month. Colin and Peyton meet us there to play a lot too. They love it!

Fall Break in California

We enjoyed driving over to California for a few days over Fall Break. We always love being in California! Here are some pics of from our picnic at the park.

USS Midway

We took a trip over to San Diego to visit the USS Midway while we were in California over Fall Break. Miles loved seeing all of the aircraft carriers. Marley really enjoyed seeing where the sailors live on the ship when they are over seas. We had a great time!

LEGOLAND

There is no place like Legoland. We had so much fun there! Miles thought it was a dream come true. I loved how many rides the kids could go on by themselves. Notice the boat pics...the second pic of Miles is with a worker. He got stuck out on his boat and had to get some help. It was so funny because Miles didn't think anything of it. Marley loved going on the roller coasters and Miles loved seeing every little lego throughout the park. It was fun to be there for the Halloween fun. The kids were able to go trick or treating and they built lego pumpkins. All I have to say is we LOVE you Legoland!!
