Happy New Year!

On New Years Eve we went out to dinner at Tia Rosas and then headed back home to play a game of Mouse Trap and eat orange cows. As you can see, Brad won the game and was extremely excited for the new year. We rang in the new year with fireworks at 10pm and then had a dance party before tucking M and M in bed. Happy New Year!

Fix It

Here is a picture of Brad looking at a heater that was acting up at the cabin downstairs. I have yet to see something that Brad cannot figure out how to fix. He is quite the handyman!

Our Trip to the Cabin

The day after Christmas we headed up to the cabin with the Malones for four days. We had such a great time. These pictures show some of the fun things we did...

Christmas Day

It all began when Miles woke up at 6am and came into my bedroom. We then went to Marley's room to wake her up. So we jumped in her bed for a snuggle. Thirty minutes later we were ready to go downstairs together to see what Santa brought.

In Brads family they say a family prayer together before opening presents, so we had a nice prayer and began opening presents. After our presents were opened, we went over to Brad's families house by 8:30am and then to his grandparents house for waffles. Every Christmas all of Brads extended family meet at his grandparents house for waffles. I think it is such a cute tradition.

After spending time with Brads family, we went to my moms to hang out and eat dinner. While we were there, we took the kids to the park to fly Brad's new airplane. The kids thought it was pretty fun to fly and chase after. We had a great Christmas day!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We had dinner, made cards for Santa, had a white elephant gift exchange, watched a Christmas movie, read Christmas books, and told the Christmas story. It was nice to spend time with my family.

We then headed home to open our Christmas Eve PJs. I even bought Brad and I matching PJs...I know, very cute. We put out cookies and milk for Santa and Miles took out carrots for the reindeer. We sprinkled reindeer food outside and headed upstairs to bed for a Christmas bedtime story. After the story Brad just barely missed it....we heard Santa's bells outside Marley's window and the kids ran as fast as they could to get into their beds. As they know, Santa only comes when you are asleep, so after being tucked they stayed quietly in their beds anticipating Christmas morning.

Christmas Pictures

This is my attempt to getting a Christmas card out this year. I waited until Christmas Eve to have Brad take a picture of me and the kids to send out and needless to say I never did get to sending cards out. I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas!:)

FHE at Freestone Park

After school a couple of weeks ago we hurried home to pack up a salad, fruit, and drinks then headed to pick up a pizza and were off to the park. We fed the ducks and played at the playground after dinner. Family night is one of our favorite nights of the week!
